To sell a used car to another private individual, you must collect these documents:

The declaration of assignment (CERFA 15776 * 01 ) that the buyer also has on his side in duplicate

The seller must give the buyer the crossed-out gray card, mentioning ” Sold on [date] to [buyer’s first and last name] ” followed by the seller’s signature (the mileage of the vehicle must also be mentioned). The validity of a crossed-out gray card is only 1 month .
